Some "website from $59 a month" deals keep the site if you leave. Read their fine print. Ours is short: pay the build fee and the finished site is yours for as long as you like.
Who owns what.
You own the site
Once the $500 is paid, the website as delivered is yours. Host it with us, host it somewhere else, give it to your nephew. The domain's in your name from day one so nobody can hold your address over you.
You own your content
Your logo, your photos, the words we wrote from what you told us, your reviews. Yours, always were.
We keep the toolbox
The templates and tools we use to build sites quickly stay ours. You get the finished house, not the builder's gear. That's how it can be $500.
Read the fine print on the other options.
- "Website rental" plans: "you may use the website while fees are paid". Stop paying, lose the site. Sometimes the domain too.
- Wix and Squarespace: your content's yours, but the site only runs on their platform. You can't take it with you.
- Agency WordPress builds: usually yours, but tied to plugins and a host someone has to keep maintaining. Ask before you sign.

- Is this in writing?
- Section 8 of the terms and conditions, "Who owns what". Plain English, same as this page.
- Can I sell the business with the site?
- Yes. The site and domain go with the business. Tell us and we'll switch the contact and billing details to the new owner.
- If I move it, does it still look the same?
- Yes. They're plain web pages and they look the same wherever they're hosted. What you'd lose is the $49 care, the changes and checks and backups.
