The build
You talk. We write it down.
Nobody wants to write about themselves. So don't. Ten minutes on the phone and we've got enough for five pages.
Here's what the call is. We ask what you do, where, how long you've been going, what people ring you about most, and what you turn away. Then we ask what you wish customers knew before they called. That last one usually ends up being the best line on the site.
Then we write it the way you said it. If you tell us "we don't do drainlaying, ring a drainlayer", that goes on the Services page in those words. No "solutions", no "passionate about". It should sound like you on a good day.
The searchable words, your trade and your suburbs, go in the page titles and headings where Google actually looks. Not crammed into a paragraph nobody reads.
Things we won't write.
- Stuff we can't back up. "Christchurch's best sparky" is a Fair Trading Act problem. "117 five-star reviews on Google" is a fact.
- "Welcome to our website." The first line says what you do and where.
- Anything you haven't read. You check every page before it goes live, because it's your name on it.
Questions.
- I'm hopeless on the phone.
- Then text us the answers, or send a voice message from the ute. Some of the best pages we've done came from a two-minute voice note.
- Do you use AI?
- We use whatever gets it done quickly, then we read it out loud. If it sounds like a brochure it gets rewritten until it sounds like you.
- What if I want to change the words later?
- Text them through. Word changes are part of the $49 a month and get done within a working day.
Start with the draft. It's free.
Four questions, two working days, a link on your phone. Then you decide.
