The build
Your site, next to your reviews.
Search your trade and a suburb and Google shows a map with three businesses under it. The ones with a website linked get the click. That's the whole job here.
What we do on the Google side.
Link the two
Your website address goes on your Google Business Profile, and a link to the Profile goes on your site. Google uses that pair to work out the business and the site are the same outfit.
Match the details
Business name, phone number and area, exactly the same on both. A different phone number on the site and the Profile is the most common reason a business drops out of that map box.
Put the map on the contact page
A live map so someone can get directions with one tap. If you work from home, we show the area you cover, not your house.
Haven't got a Profile? We set one up with you during the build. It's free. Google sends a code to your phone or in the post and that's the one bit only you can do. We pick the right category ("Plumber", not "Contractor"), set your service area, and give you a review link you can text to a customer after a job. Reviews are what move you up that map. We can't write them for you and you shouldn't buy them. But a two-line text after each job works.
Questions.
- Will this get me to the top of Google?
- Nobody can promise that and anyone who does is having you on. Linking the Profile, matching the details, and getting reviews are the three things that reliably move a local business up. We do the first two and show you the third.
- What about Bing and Apple Maps?
- Google is where New Zealanders search. If you want the others we'll add them, but that's not where the calls come from.
